The first nine Nakshatras belong to the Raja or Rajassic Guna and the Rashis Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Libra, the Grahas, Venus and Mercury are Rajassic.
The Gunas are the Three Essential Elements of nature in Vedic Astrology, it keeps us attracted and conecting with nature. There is no good or bad guna they just are. Just like day and night, one is neither good neither bad. The entire spiritual realm relies on these gunas to exist and to understand God.. These elements exist in nature, since astrology is derived from nature they become part of this Divine Science.

Ashiwini ruled by Ketu and Kumars, represented by a male Horse;
It is located from zero degrees to 13°,20′ of Aries (Mesha), its deity are the Ashwini Kumars healers with a horse head. They may have an authoritarian quality but they want to help, they are two different twins, one is narcissistic, there is a scission, at the same time they want to help, they want to dominate.
Their symbol is the head of a horse.
Their Yoga Tara is between 10° and 13° or 8° – 15°, their Padas are: 1 – Aries, 2 – Taurus, 3 – Gemini, 4 – Cancer, they belong to the Vaishya (Merchant) Caste. So, even if the native is from Bharani, between the 13° and 14° will also have the qualities of Ashiwini.

It is a transitional Nakshatra as it is situated between 26°,40′ Aries (Mesha) and 10° Taurus (Vrishabha) with its first Pada in Aries. Its deity is Agni, god of fire, one of the ancient Hindu gods.

It is located between 10° and 23°20′ of Taurus (Vrishabha), its deity is Prajapati or Brahma.
Its symbol is an Ox, Cart or Chariot.
His Yoga Tara is at 15° of Taurus, his Padas are: 1 – Aries, 2 – Taurus, 3 – Gemini, 4 – Cancer, and belong to the Shudra Caste (Worker).
Prajapati, after raising his daughter Dawn (Saraswati), turned into a deer and tried to rape her, in the form of a Doe, to reproduce. The gods were angry and created a being named Rudra which means “screamer”, he ripped off one of Prajapati’s heads and then replaced it with the head of a deer.

His symbol is an Antelope’s head.
His Yoga Tara is at 27° of Taurus, his Padas are: 1 – Leo, 2 – Virgo, 3 – Libra, 4 – Scorpio, and his Caste is farmers, servants.
Soma had sex with Tara, wife of the Guru of the Gods Brihaspathi, so Tara became pregnant with Buddha (Mercury). Brihaspathi, with the help of the devas, went to war against Soma, who was supported by Shukracharya, Guru of the demons. Eventually, Brihaspathi adopted Buddha, as he was impressed by his intelligence, ending the war.
There is also the story of the fire ritual “Yagna”, to which Shiva, husband of Sati, daughter of Daksha (the same one who cursed the moon) was not invited among the gods. After Sati threw herself into the fire, the gods pacified Shiva who restored Daksha to life by placing a deer’s head on him.
Sita, wife of Rama, avatar of Vishnu connected with the Sun, was deceived by a golden deer, which was actually a demon that took Sita from Rama, to be kidnapped by the demon King Ravana. This golden deer convinced Sita to cross a line of defense left by the Lakshma guru. Eventually, Rama defeated Ravan in Lanka in the epic story of Ramayan.

It is located between 6°40′ and 20° of Gemini (Mithuna), its deity is Rudra.
Its symbol is a teardrop, diamond or skull.
His Yoga Tara is at 5° Gemini, his Padas are: 1 – Sagittarius, 2 – Capricorn, 3 – Aquarius, 4 – Pisces, and his caste is Butcher.

Aditi, wife of Kashyapa is the mother of the Adityas, the Sun gods, mother also of the god Asht Vasus. She is the goddess of the earth that brings prosperity and abundance, she is the vast space, she is mentioned in the Rig Vedas as a repeating pattern or fractal, from Daksha came Aditi, from Aditi came Daksha.
Aditi is also the mother of Vamana, Vishnu’s avatar connected to Jupiter, the Dwarf Brahmin who was born to defeat the demon king Mahabali by asking him for 3 feet (spaces) of earth.

Pushya ruled by Saturn and Brihaspati, represented by a male Goat;
It is located between 3°20′ and 16°40′ Cancer (Karka), its deity is Brihaspati.
Its symbol is the Uber of a Cow or a flower.
His Yoga Tara is 15° of Cancer, his Padas are: 1 – Leo, 2 – Virgo, 3 – Libra, 4 – Scorpio, and his Caste is Kshatriya (Warrior).
Brihaspati is the Guru of the gods and the lord of discourses and sacred prayers, teacher of Jyotish and other Vedic sciences. He was born of Sage Angiras and his wife Shraddha, and when he was a student, his rival was Shukracharya or the planet Venus. Angiras showed favoritism for his son and Shukracharya came to consider Brihaspati an enemy.
Brihaspati ignored his wife Tara who became involved with Chandra who made her pregnant.
Ashlesha ruled by Mercury and Nagas, represented by a male Cat;
It is located between 16°40′ and 30° Cancer (Karka), its deity are the Nagas.
Its symbol is the coiled serpent.
Its Yoga Tara is at 18° of Cancer, its Padas are: 1 – Sagittarius, 2 – Capricorn, 3 – Aquarius, 4 – Pisces, and its Caste is Mleccha (Banned, Outcast, Outcast).
Nagas are divine serpents, mystical healers, and possess knowledge of the occult sciences and vast wealth. Vishnu himself becomes an Ananta Shesha Vasuki, a serpent that pierced the ocean, or served as a rope for turning the Cosmic Ocean to obtain Amrit.

In this way, the sharp leaves of grass are the reason for the Nagas having their tongues cut in half. There are Nagas festivals when the Moon transits Ashlesha.
